Stationnement un peu compliqué car le p2 est dispendieux et le service de la ville est désastreux (j’ai perdu mon billet =30€, appeler le numéro car la borne ne fonctionnait pas pour un ticket perdu et jamais eu de retour… j’ai eu la chance de trouver un autre billet…) plus facile de trouver un stationnement tôt le matin."

"Stunning view of the castle perfectly located at the foot of the castle, close to steps that lead directly to the medieval city. Spacious, secure, well appointed, very clean and plenty of little details that made this accommodation feel special. Hosts were quick to respond to messages and the staff who came to clean when we left were very polite. Lots of supplies in the property (bin bags, dishwasher tabs, cleaning fluid, toilet rolls etc). Great kitchen facilities with a full size fridge and freezer, decent double oven, dishwasher with lots of kitchenware, cutlery etc. The local grocery shop is amazing - father and daughter helped select wine, bread, cheese, local ham and sausage. They were local (for generations) and very knowledgeable - amazing people who made our stay even more special."

"There isn’t much not to like. As English tea-drinkers, bigger mugs would be welcome! (We just purchased some Carcassonne mugs for use during our stay and brought them home as memorabilia) The neighbours complained about us on the first night by sending a passive aggressive letter saying we were too noisy - we were literally only in the apartment for 4 hours that evening sitting at the dining table for dinner and playing UNO. The windows were open (above the properties court yard), but we were all in bed by 10pm. I can only assume that noise travels easily because, while there were 8 of us talking/playing, there certainly wasn’t a party happening! We crept around for the remaining three days and shushed the children in the evening, but it did put a slight dampener on the holiday as we felt we shouldn’t open the windows whilst enjoying the castle view in the morning/early evening hours. Also, the property opposite needs to have a better covering for the bathroom window - we got an eyeful of a naked man one evening brushing his teeth!"

"The location was excellent. The apartment was very well appointed. The air conditioning downstairs in the sleeping accommodation was very effective and absolutely necessary for the summer climate. The street that the apartment was on was very quiet."

"Overall, the apartment was excellent. The air conditioning upstairs in the kitchen area wasn't quite as efficient as the downstairs air conditioning, but this was okay. The view of the castle from the kitchen more than made up for it, though. Everything else was perfect."

"The location, views and interior design are superb. It would be hard to beat. We arrived by train from the Basque region and enjoyed an easy (10€) taxi ride to the property. Key collection was simple and the apartment was obviously very clean and well-serviced. The vista of the medieval (Roman) city and fortifications is beyond belief. The neighbourhood is quiet. The steps, just 50m right out of the front door, allow an easy walk straight up to the 'castle'. Cafés, restaurants and a couple of small shops are within a 10 minute stroll. Access into the main town, across the old bridge (or through the playground and across the 'ford'), is not much further. We loved it. We have already recommended to like-minded self-organising travelling friends."

"It is reasonable that residents of holiday-let accommodation may need to buy items to restock consumables. It is a little irritating when you have to shop for toilet rolls on day two? And, frustrating, when three light bulbs need replacing to find there are no spares. Additionally, the sliding door to the en-suite bathroom in bedroom two needs a simple DIY re-hanging to run smoothly (a job I would have happily done, but I'm banned from my tools on holidays!)."

"It is hard to imagine a better choice for a family to stay in Carcassonne! You are just outside the old ramparts, with magnificent views of them. The building looks old/in keeping on the outside, but is modern and beautifully remodeled on the inside. Parking nearby is free, and you can easily walk into La Cite close by, or a little farther through the main entrance. The ground and second floor have nice bedrooms and bathrooms, the the third floor has an very nice kitchen and living area and great views. It accomodated our 9 family members beautifully! Everyone loved it. The front door, hallway, a courtyard, and a nice washer and dryer are shared with an apartment behind which does not impact badly at all. Hosts were excellent."

"Both our door and the outside door open from the inside only with a key if locked. The outside door should also unlock manually from the inside, in case of fire, etc. Otherwise, everything was fabulous!"
